The Pakistan Railways has decided to resume the Bolan Mail service for Karachi after a gap of two weeks, according to railway officials.
Railway authorities said the train’s departure scheduled for the previous day was cancelled due to a low number of passengers.
Officials also confirmed that Pakistan Railways has not announced Eid special trains this year.
Traditionally, special trains for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are announced around 15 days before the festival to facilitate passengers traveling to their hometowns.
Sources said the decision not to announce Eid special trains this year was taken due to the ongoing fuel crisis, which has affected railway operations.
The absence of Eid special trains has caused concern among passengers planning to travel within Pakistan to celebrate Eid with their families, as they may face difficulty finding transportation during the holiday period.
