A meeting of the Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department was held under the chairmanship of Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon to review the expansion of public transport services in the province.
During the meeting, officials decided to add more electric buses and double-decker buses to Karachi’s transport system in order to improve commuting facilities for citizens.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said a new electric bus route from Gulshan-e-Memar to Tower will be launched next week as part of efforts to expand the EV bus network in the city.
He also announced that the Peoples Bus Service will be introduced in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Sukkur, Shikarpur and Khairpur after Eid to improve public transport in those cities.
