Four Special Trains Announced for Eid Travel

Pakistan Railways will operate four special trains ahead of Eid to accommodate the expected surge in passengers traveling across the country.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways said the additional services will run between major cities to facilitate people returning to their hometowns for the Eid holidays.

The first special train will depart from Lahore for Karachi on March 16, passing through Okara, Sahiwal and Khanewal. The second train is scheduled to leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17, with stops at Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal and Lahore.

On the same day, a third special train will operate from Karachi to Peshawar. The fourth train will depart from Karachi for Lahore on March 18.

According to the railway administration, the special services are aimed at easing travel during the busy Eid period when thousands of people move between cities to celebrate the festival with their families. Pakistan Railways regularly introduces special trains during major holidays to manage the increased passenger demand and reduce pressure on regular services.
