The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened registrations for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for students seeking admission to MS, MPhil and PhD programs in universities across Pakistan, as well as those applying for HEC scholarships.
The test is required for candidates applying to institutions that accept HAT scores and for applicants of HEC-funded local and international scholarship programs.
According to the announcement, the registration deadline is March 30, 2026, while the test will be conducted on April 19, 2026. Candidates can complete their registration through the official portal at etc.hec.gov.pk.
The HAT is used to assess applicants for graduate and postgraduate admissions and serves as a key requirement for scholarship opportunities offered by the commission.
