Mari Energies Signs Agreements with Fertilizer Firms for PEF Project

Mari Energies Limited has announced the execution of multiple project agreements for its Pressure Enhancement Facilities (PEF) Project at the Mari gas field in Daharki, Sindh.

In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said the agreements have been signed with key fertilizer sector clients, including Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Engro Fertilizers Limited, and Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited.

The PEF project is a strategic initiative aimed at maintaining the required delivery pressure of the Habib Rahi Limestone (HRL) reservoir gas. It involves debottlenecking of pipelines and installation of compression facilities at various points in the gas gathering network, along with related operational upgrades.

Mari Energies said the project is expected to help sustain production levels, extend the production plateau, and ensure a consistent supply of indigenous gas to fertilizer plants. The initiative is also seen as supporting domestic urea production and contributing to national food security.

The company stated that the development aligns with its broader strategy to optimize gas field performance and enhance supply reliability to key industrial sectors.

Mari Energies Limited is one of Pakistan’s leading oil and gas exploration and production companies, operating the Mari gas field in Sindh, one of the country’s largest natural gas reservoirs. The company is primarily engaged in the exploration, development and production of hydrocarbons including natural gas, crude oil and condensate, supplying energy to key sectors such as fertilizer, power and industry.
