Govt Increases BISP Stipends for Low-Income Families

The government has announced an increase in financial assistance under the Benazir Income Support Programme, providing relief to low-income families across the country.

According to an official statement shared via BISP’s social media platforms, quarterly payments under the Benazir Kafaalat Program for registered women have been raised from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500.

In addition to this, stipends under the Benazir Nashonuma Program have been increased by Rs. 500 per child. Similarly, the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program will now offer an additional Rs. 500 per student.

BISP stated that these increases are aimed at supporting financially vulnerable households while strengthening access to education and healthcare for children.

Officials described the move as a step forward in improving social protection measures and easing the economic burden on underprivileged families.
