Razer’s Viper V4 Pro Gaming Mouse is Not Just Faster, But Also Lasts Up to 180 Hours

Razer has launched two new products in its esports lineup: the Viper V4 Pro gaming mouse and the Gigantus V2 Pro mouse mat. The updates focus on improvements to latency, tracking accuracy, and surface customization for competitive gaming.

Faster Wireless Performance

The Viper V4 Pro succeeds the Viper V3 Pro and introduces changes in wireless performance and sensor behavior.

It uses HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 technology, supporting up to 8,000 Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes. According to the company, the mouse delivers click latency as low as 0.204 ms and motion latency of 0.36 ms. Battery life is rated at up to 180 hours at a 1,000 Hz polling rate.

Sensor and Software Features

The mouse is powered by the Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, offering up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS tracking speed, and 90G acceleration.

A Frame Sync feature aligns sensor data with polling intervals to reduce processing delays. Software controls include Dynamic Sensitivity, Mouse Rotation, 1 DPI step adjustments, Sensitivity Matcher, 26 levels of Asymmetric Cut-Off, and Smart Tracking.

Lightweight Design

The Viper V4 Pro weighs 49 grams in black and 50 grams in white, making it about 9 percent lighter than its predecessor.

The weight reduction comes from internal design changes, including a smaller PCB and refined shell structure. The shape is designed for claw and fingertip grip styles.

Additional hardware updates include a redesigned optical scroll wheel and Gen-4 optical switches rated for up to 100 million clicks. These switches use optical actuation to remove debounce delay and reduce double-click issues.

Gigantus V2 Pro

Alongside the mouse, Razer introduced the Gigantus V2 Pro mouse mat, available in five surface variants based on friction levels: Max Control, Control, Balance, Speed, and Max Speed.

Each version uses a different weave pattern and foam base to adjust glide and firmness.

The mat is designed for optical sensors and includes stitched edges, an anti-slip base, and a rollable design for transport.

Pricing

The Viper V4 Pro is priced at $159.99.

The Gigantus V2 Pro mouse mat is priced at $50, while the NiKo Edition costs an additional $20.
