Sindh Govt to Enforce Smart Lockdown Across Province

The Sindh government has decided to impose a smart lockdown across the province to help conserve petrol amid rising fuel prices.

Sindh government spokesperson Diwan Sukhdev Asardas said this smart lockdown will be different from the coronavirus lockdowns seen in the past.

According to the spokesperson, the purpose of the move is not to limit social interaction, but to reduce fuel consumption. He said that after global oil prices increased due to ongoing tensions in Iran and other regions, it became necessary to protect the country’s fuel reserves.
