Invincibles delivered a dominant performance to defeat Challengers by 30 runs in the fourth match of the National Women’s T20 Tournament at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground, securing their second consecutive win.
The win lifts Invincibles to the top of the tournament standings with four points, while Challengers remain without a victory after also losing to Stars in the opening match.
After winning the toss, captain Muneeba Ali opted to bat first, and her decision paid off as Invincibles posted a strong total of 168-5 in 20 overs.
Opening batter Gull Feroza set the tone with a fluent 43 off 24 balls, striking seven boundaries. She finished as joint top scorer alongside Maham Anees, who also made 43 from 38 deliveries, including three fours and two sixes. Feroza was named Player of the Match for her impactful innings.
Iram Javed added valuable runs in the middle order with a quick 35 off 25 balls, hitting three fours and a six.
For Challengers, Neelam Mushtaq and captain Diana Baig picked up two wickets each, while Arijah Haseeb claimed one.
Chasing a challenging target of 169, Challengers were restricted to 138/8 in their 20 overs despite a spirited effort from Natalia Pervaiz. Batting at No. 4, she scored 31 off 17 balls, including four fours and a six, after coming in with the score at 53-2.
Arijah Haseeb remained unbeaten on 37 off 37 balls, hitting four boundaries, and shared a 27-run stand for the fifth wicket with Pervaiz.
Invincibles’ bowling attack was led by Momina Riasat and Noreen Yaqoob, who took two wickets each. Syeda Aroob Shah and Ambar Kainat chipped in with one wicket apiece.
