According to PakWheels, the vehicle was seen inside a container, with images showing a black unit carrying the IM6 badge.
The sighting has fueled speculation that MG could be preparing to introduce the model locally in the near future, possibly alongside another IM-branded vehicle.

IM, short for Intelligence in Motion, is a premium electric vehicle brand developed as a joint venture between SAIC Motor, Alibaba, and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech. SAIC holds a majority stake in the venture and is also the parent company of MG.
Globally, IM vehicles are often marketed under the MG umbrella, and a similar strategy is expected if the IM6 launches in Pakistan.
The MG IM6 is positioned as a luxury mid-size all-electric crossover SUV. In international markets, it competes with vehicles like the Tesla Model Y and the BYD Sealion 7.
Performance is one of its biggest highlights. The top-spec variant features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing around 741 horsepower and 802 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.48 seconds, making it one of the quickest SUVs in its segment.
The IM6 is equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 600 km (NEDC), with real-world WLTP estimates around 500 km. Fast-charging capabilities are also impressive, with support for high-speed DC charging that can take the battery from 10% to 80% in roughly 17 minutes.
The IM6 has already been launched in several international markets, including China, Thailand, Australia, the UK, and the UAE. Pakistan could soon join this list if MG proceeds with a local launch.
If introduced, the IM6 will enter a growing EV crossover segment in Pakistan. Likely competitors include the Deepal S07, BYD Sealion 7, and XPENG G6.
There is currently no official word on pricing or launch dates. However, given the increasing competition in Pakistan’s EV space.
