Islamabad Cracks Down on Showrooms for Illegal Parking

The district administration in Islamabad has launched an operation against car showrooms in Sector G-8 over illegal parking practices that were obstructing public spaces and disrupting traffic flow.

According to officials, the action was carried out under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, targeting showroom owners who had encroached on footpaths and surrounding areas by parking vehicles outside their premises.

During the operation, authorities sealed six showrooms found in clear violation of regulations. Official notices were also issued on-site, warning other businesses to immediately remove illegal parking setups or face similar action.

The administration stated that these measures were necessary to ensure pedestrian safety and restore smooth traffic movement in the busy commercial area.

Officials emphasized that blocking footpaths not only causes inconvenience to pedestrians but also contributes to congestion on already crowded roads.

Other showroom owners in the area have been given a final warning to comply with parking rules, with authorities signaling that strict enforcement will continue if violations persist.
