An underage driver managed to flee during a traffic police operation against fancy number plates in Karachi.
The incident occurred in the Teen Talwar area of Clifton, where traffic police were conducting a crackdown on vehicles displaying illegal or decorative number plates.
According to officials, traffic police stopped a vehicle being driven by a minor during the campaign. The driver initially halted the car, stepped out, and reacted angrily when questioned by officers.
He then got back into the vehicle and drove away from the scene, escaping in front of the police.
Police said the minor driver nearly hit people standing nearby while fleeing and broke a traffic signal before speeding away.
The operation was underway in the presence of the Deputy Inspector General, who was monitoring the campaign against illegal number plates in the area.
Authorities are expected to trace the vehicle and take further action against the driver.
