SG Power Limited has announced the appointment of Umer Ali Malik as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The company said the appointment reflects the board’s commitment to driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and enhanced shareholder value.
In the same disclosure, the board also formally mandated the newly appointed CEO to develop a comprehensive future focused business plan, aimed at transitioning the company from its current business into a scalable and high growth model aligned with emerging market opportunities and long term sustainability.
The notice further stated that the CEO has been authorized to explore strategic capital initiatives, including equity based capital raising, strategic partnerships, and other financial structuring options to strengthen liquidity and support the company’s transformation into a profitable growth oriented organization.
SG Power Limited is a Pakistan Stock Exchange listed utility company incorporated in 1994 and based in Karachi. Historically, the company has been engaged in the generation and supply of electric power to its associated group company, though it has recently signaled a broader strategic shift in its business direction and growth model.
