The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Pakistan Post Office Department have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at PTA Headquarters to strengthen collaboration in advancing Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and improving public service delivery through an integrated communication infrastructure.
The MoU sets a framework for information sharing, mutual cooperation, and coordination between the two institutions. The agreement aims to leverage their combined strengths to support the government’s vision of Digital Pakistan by delivering efficient, secure, and citizen-centric services.
Key areas of collaboration include digital postal services, e-governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure utilization, capacity building, and knowledge sharing.
Chairman PTA, Hafeez Ur Rehman, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that strengthen digital infrastructure and promote innovation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions to achieve these goals.
Director General of Pakistan Post, Samiullah Khan, appreciated PTA’s proactive role and expressed his commitment to modernizing postal services through digital integration.
Officials described the collaboration as a significant step toward building a more connected and digitally empowered Pakistan.
