CDA Notifies Huge Decrease in Property Transfer Tax for Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reduced the transfer fee on properties currently under its jurisdiction across Islamabad.

The fee was previously set at 3 percent of the property’s value as notified by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), but now it has been slashed to just 1 percent.

This was decided during the CDA Board’s 3rd meeting held on April 9, 2006, and has been adopted immediately.

The change modifies the previous notification (No. CDA EM-1/Admin/2025/9576, dated July 1, 2025).

All concerned parties have been urged to proceed with property transfers under the revised rates without delay.
