Govt Suddenly Delays Mango Exports

Pakistan will begin mango exports from June 1, 2026, after the Ministry of Commerce extended the export start date through an official notification.

The ministry said the export of mangoes for the 2026 crop will now be allowed only from June 1, while all other conditions will remain unchanged under the existing export policy framework.

The decision was taken on the request of stakeholders, indicating concerns around crop readiness, quality, or supply timing for the current season.

The move marks a slight shift from previous years, when mango exports typically started in late May, including May 25 in the 2025 season.

Pakistan is one of the world’s leading mango exporters, shipping the fruit to markets across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, with varieties such as Sindhri and Chaunsa in high demand.
