Monsoon Season Starting Date Predicted

The Met Office has predicted that monsoon winds will begin entering Pakistan after June 15, raising hopes for relief from the ongoing heat spell in different parts of the country.

The forecast comes as hot weather continues to persist despite occasional cloud cover, with temperatures remaining high and humidity offering little comfort to residents.

According to the latest weather update, the city’s temperature climbed to 40 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to stay around 27 degrees Celsius.

Officials said humidity was recorded at 13 percent, while winds were blowing at a speed of 6 kilometers per hour, which has done little to reduce the intensity of the heat.

Weather experts said the presence of clouds has not made a meaningful difference so far, and people are still facing severe hot weather conditions.

However, the expected arrival of monsoon winds after June 15 could change the situation, with rainfall likely to begin afterward and weather conditions expected to improve.
