The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation has launched a new scholarship program to support the families of overseas Pakistanis, aiming to ease the financial burden of higher education.
Under the Overseas Pakistanis Education Fund (OPEF), the initiative will provide financial assistance to children and spouses of overseas Pakistanis enrolled in intermediate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs.
Officials said the scholarship covers a wide range of fields, including MBBS, BDS, engineering, and master ’s-level studies, ensuring broader access to quality education.
To qualify, applicants must have secured at least 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA in their most recent exams.
Additionally, either a parent or spouse must be a registered member of the OPF, which is granted upon obtaining a Protector of Emigrants stamp.
The program also sets an income threshold, requiring the applicant’s family income to be below Rs200,000 per month.
Candidates receiving any other scholarship during the same academic year will not be eligible.
Authorities added that children of deceased OPF members can also apply under special compassionate provisions.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support overseas Pakistanis and ensure better educational opportunities for their families.
