The Sindh government has ordered the digitization of all route permits and vehicle fitness certificates as part of efforts to modernize the province’s transport system.
Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said the directive has been issued to all relevant departments to shift the system to a fully digital format.
He said the transition will be completed by June 30, 2026, after which manual documents will no longer be accepted.
The minister said the new system will allow transporters to access verified documents online, making verification easier and more secure.
He said all commercial vehicles will be brought under the digital system to ensure uniform implementation across the province.
Officials have been directed to complete the process within the given timeframe and inform transporters so they can begin registration. Memon said the move is aimed at improving service delivery and reducing the risk of fraud through a centralized digital system.
