Here is WhatsApp’s Major Upcoming Design Change — Liquid Glass

WhatsApp is preparing a design update that follows the Liquid Glass style introduced by Apple in recent versions of iOS.

Initial signs of the redesign appeared in late 2025 through beta versions of the app, where users reported small interface changes and updates to the main chat screen, but now we have more to look forward to.

New Chat Interface Details

A report from WABetaInfo indicates that WhatsApp is close to releasing a redesigned in-chat interface. The updated design includes a floating chat bar and a translucent navigation bar.

The new interface is not currently available even to beta users, although it has been activated internally for testing.

Meta appears to be taking a gradual approach to the redesign. Many users have not yet received earlier UI updates, suggesting that the full overhaul may take additional time to reach a wider audience.

The redesigned interface is expected to roll out more broadly once development is complete. It is also unclear if this design will be limited to iOS users or if it will reach Android phones as well.
