Peshawar Zalmi Star All-Rounder Makes History in PSL 11 Final

Aaron Hardie delivered a historic all-round performance to lead Peshawar Zalmi to victory in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11)  final against Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium.

Hardie played a key role in Zalmi’s five-wicket win, showcasing both his bowling and batting skills in the final of the eight-team tournament.

After Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and chose to field, Hardie led the bowling attack with outstanding figures of 4/27 in four overs. His performance helped restrict Kingsmen to just 129 runs in 18 overs.

Chasing a target of 130, Zalmi struggled early as Kingsmen’s pace attack reduced them to 40/4 within four overs.

However, Hardie held his ground and guided the team to victory. He scored an unbeaten 56 off 39 balls, including nine boundaries, helping Zalmi complete the chase with 28 balls remaining.

With this performance, Hardie became the first player in T20 franchise league history to take four wickets and score more than 50 runs in a final.

The 27-year-old Australian all-rounder was named Player of the Final in his first PSL season, which he described as very successful.

“Yeah, it’s been great. Everyone involved; all the players, coaching staff, owners, and directors, I couldn’t have had a better start to my PSL journey,” Hardie said during the post-match presentation.

He further said that he was very grateful to be part of Peshawar Zalmi and to get to know everyone, adding that the team had great fun and enjoyed a very successful season.
