Hitler Iqbal Promotes Punjab Govt’s Taabeer Program

A promotional video highlighting the Punjab government’s Taabeer Program has gone viral on social media, but not entirely for the reason it was intended.

The clip features a Wazirabad resident named Hitler Iqbal, whose unusual name quickly caught public attention and triggered a wave of jokes, memes, and reactions online.

While the video was meant to promote the government’s overseas employment initiative, much of the online conversation shifted toward the candidate’s name.

In the video, Hitler Iqbal appears as a participant in the Punjab government-backed program and shares his experience of appearing for an interview with only his passport and CV. He says the process is completely free and presents the initiative as an opportunity for young people seeking jobs abroad.

The campaign is part of the Punjab government’s Taabeer Program, launched under the Chief Minister’s Skilled Punjab initiative. The program is designed to help young people secure overseas employment through free training, skills development, and international certifications.

Officials say the initiative aims to prepare candidates for foreign job markets, particularly in Gulf countries, by offering short-term training courses ranging from two to 12 weeks. The broader goal is to reduce unemployment and support families through overseas remittances.
