The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 155th consecutive day on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it posted losses against most major foreign currencies during today’s trading session.
The PKR closed at Rs. 278.71 against the US Dollar after gaining one paisa compared to Wednesday’s closing of Rs. 278.72.
Other Currencies
PKR remained almost stable against the UAE Dirham (AED), which stood at Rs. 75.88 after gaining less than one paisa.
It also lost three paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR), which settled at Rs. 74.30.
Meanwhile, the rupee weakened against major European currencies.
It lost 60 paisas against the British Pound (GBP), which closed at Rs. 379.64, while the Euro (EUR) gained 75 paisas to settle at Rs. 327.91.
The rupee also lost Rs. 1.08 against the Swiss Franc (CHF), which traded at Rs. 358.30.
Meanwhile, it lost 56 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) to close at Rs. 202.38, but gained 52 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), which settled at Rs. 204.50.
