Punjab Sets Deadline for Vehicle Emission Testing

Motorists in Punjab have been urged to get their vehicles emission tested as authorities move toward stricter enforcement of vehicle emission regulations across the province.

The Transport and Mass Transit Department Punjab has asked citizens to obtain green stickers before June 30, 2026, warning that strict legal action will be taken against vehicles operating without valid emission certification after the deadline.

According to the department, the campaign is part of efforts to promote cleaner and eco friendly transportation under the Punjab government’s Transport Vision 2030 initiative.

The department stated that testing facilities are available at Liberty, Thokar Niaz Baig, Harbanspura, Wapda Town, Iqbal Town, Johar Town, Jail Road, Bahria Town, and DHA.

The campaign is being conducted under the Punjab government’s broader transport and environmental improvement program launched under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
