These Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco Devices Are Still Waiting for HyperOS 3.1

Xiaomi has already started its Android 17 Developer Preview program for select devices, but several phones and tablets are still waiting for the HyperOS 3.1 update.

The pending list mainly includes budget and some mid-range devices, while most eligible high-end models have already received the update.

Software rollout delays can happen for several reasons.

These may include critical bugs found during internal testing, hardware optimization needs, regional firmware certification delays, and chipset limitations.

However, the overall rollout has not been slow, as Xiaomi only began releasing HyperOS 3.1 in April.

According to XimiTime, Xiaomi has already pushed the update to 85% of eligible devices.

New HyperOS 3.1 Features

HyperOS 3.1 is more than a minor update. It brings new features, visual changes, improved Apple device connectivity, and several system enhancements.

The update introduces Hyper Island to Xiaomi tablets for the first time.

On smartphones, Hyper Island receives richer animations, deeper third-party integration, and more useful real-time activity tracking.

Interface And Connectivity Changes

HyperOS 3.1 adds an iOS-inspired recent apps page with vertical scrolling and modern card swipe gestures.

The update also brings native AirPods integration, including quick pop-up pairing, ANC toggle controls, and spatial audio access.

The lock screen is now more customizable with advanced depth effects and additional widget layouts.

Xiaomi has also added a Super OTA feature designed to install updates faster with shorter reboot times and fewer errors.

HyperOS 4 Coming Next

Xiaomi is also preparing HyperOS 4, which will be based on Android 17.

The Android 17 beta is already available for the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Xiaomi 15T Pro.

More devices are expected to join later, while HyperOS 4 is expected to bring new features, system improvements, and AI-based additions.
