Govt Quietly Increases Kerosene, Light Diesel, Jet Fuel Prices in Pakistan

The government has increased the prices of kerosene oil, light diesel oil, and jet fuel, according to a newly issued notification.

Under the revised rates, kerosene oil has become costlier by Rs1.71 per litre, raising its price from Rs311.73 to Rs313.44 per litre.

Light diesel oil prices have also been increased by Rs1.62 per litre. Following the hike, the new price of light diesel stands at Rs275.54 per litre compared to the previous rate of Rs273.92 per litre.

Meanwhile, jet fuel used in aircraft operations has recorded an increase of Rs2.10 per litre. The new jet fuel price has been fixed at Rs332.32 per litre, up from Rs330.22 per litre.

The revised fuel prices are expected to impact transportation, aviation operations, and industrial sectors that rely heavily on petroleum products.
