Motorway Police Issues Alternate Numbers as 130 Helpline Goes Down

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has said its emergency helpline 130 is partially down because of a technical fault, prompting the agency to release alternative contact numbers for travelers.

In a statement, the motorway police said the disruption has affected some services on the helpline, but backup numbers have been shared for different motorway sectors so motorists can still get assistance.

The NHMP advised commuters to use the substitute numbers in case of accidents, emergencies, or roadside support needs.

The agency apologized for the inconvenience and said efforts are underway to keep services running through the backup system until the fault is fixed.

Officials added that technical teams are working to restore the helpline and urged motorists to contact the nearest motorway police unit immediately if they need help during travel.
