Pakistan’s spending on imported mobile phones continued to rise sharply during the current fiscal year, with total imports crossing Rs. 455 billion in the first 10 months of FY2025-26.
Pakistan imported mobile phones worth Rs. 455.73 billion between July 2025 and April 2026, up 30.29 percent compared to 10MFY25.
During the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, mobile phone imports stood at Rs. 349.77 billion.
The data also showed a strong increase in April 2026 alone. Pakistan imported mobile phones worth Rs. 49.41 billion during the month, compared to Rs. 41.63 billion in March 2026.
On a yearly basis, mobile phone imports in April 2026 increased by 40.71 percent compared to April 2025, when the country imported phones worth Rs. 35.12 billion.
