Negotiations between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) regarding the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) have been completed, and an understanding has also been reached between the government and coalition partners on development spending, sources added.

The federal government plans to increase development expenditure in smaller provinces in the upcoming budget. Under the proposed allocation, Balochistan will receive the largest share, followed by Sindh, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will rank third. Punjab is expected to receive the lowest allocation.
