The federal government has allocated more than Rs3.78 billion for the establishment of four Danish Schools in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) under the Budget 2026–27.

According to official budget documents, the schools will be set up in Bagh, Bhimber, Neelum, and Haveli Kahuta to improve access to quality education in remote areas of the region.

The funding includes Rs514.5 million for the Hari Gehal Bagh Danish School, Rs600 million for the Bhimber Danish School, Rs1.558 billion for the Sharda Neelum Danish School, and Rs1.109 billion for the Haveli Kahuta Danish School.

Officials said the initiative aims to provide modern educational facilities and create better learning opportunities for students in underserved and far-flung areas of Azad Kashmir.

They added that the project is part of a broader federal development strategy focused on strengthening the education sector and improving human resource development across the region.

The establishment of Danish Schools is expected to enhance educational access, particularly for students from low-income and remote communities, by offering improved infrastructure and learning resources.
