PIA Expands Travel Access from 25 Chinese Cities to Pakistan

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has expanded air connectivity between China and Pakistan through strategic partnerships with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, providing passengers from 25 Chinese cities seamless access to its direct Beijing-Islamabad service.

The initiative aims to improve travel convenience for students, business travelers, tourists, and families while strengthening people-to-people contacts, tourism, and trade between the two countries.

Under its partnership with Air China, passengers can connect to PIA’s Beijing-Islamabad flight from 16 Chinese cities, including Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Urumqi.

Through its collaboration with Shenzhen Airlines, travelers can also access the route from nine additional destinations, including Yichun, Xiangyang, Chengdu Tianfu, Quanzhou/Jinjiang, Nantong, Wuxi, Nanning, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

The new arrangement allows passengers to travel from these cities to Islamabad via Beijing on a single ticket, offering a smoother and more efficient travel experience.

PIA has also introduced competitive through fares from the 25 partner cities, reducing overall travel costs for passengers. The discounted fares are expected to particularly benefit Pakistani students studying in China, business travelers, tourists, and Chinese visitors traveling to Pakistan.

Officials said the expanded cooperation with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines reflects PIA’s commitment to enhancing China-Pakistan connectivity and supporting tourism, educational exchanges, trade, and cultural relations.

Passengers can purchase tickets through PIA offices, authorized travel agents, and major online booking platforms. Travelers have been advised to contact their nearest PIA office or travel agent for booking details and travel information.
