Pakistan Increases Jet Fuel Price

The price of jet fuel in Pakistan has increased following an upward revision in kerosene oil rates, according to the latest notification issued by the authorities.

The price of aviation fuel used by aircraft has been raised by Rs12.32 per liter, taking the new rate to Rs295.84 per liter from the previous Rs283.52 per liter.

Alongside the increase in jet fuel prices, the federal government has also revised petroleum levies on major fuel products.

The levy on high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs8 per liter, raising it from Rs44.59 per liter to Rs53.26 per liter.

In contrast, the government has reduced the levy on petrol by Rs9.24 per liter. Officials said the revised levy rates will remain effective for one week.

The latest adjustments come as part of the government’s periodic review of petroleum products and taxation measures.

Analysts believe the increase in jet fuel and diesel-related charges could impact transportation and aviation operating costs, while the reduction in petrol levy may provide some relief to consumers.

The revised fuel rates took effect immediately following the official announcement.
