LESCO Suspends Installment Facility for Electricity Bills

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has imposed a complete ban on electricity bill installments during June as part of its efforts to meet recovery targets.

According to reports, the company has issued instructions barring installments on both current bills and outstanding dues. Relevant officers have been directed to ensure the recovery of payable amounts in line with the assigned targets.

Under the latest orders, recovery will be made from current bill holders as well as dead defaulters. The company’s recovery campaign will focus on domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers.

LESCO authorities have also directed that electricity connections disconnected over unpaid dues should not be restored until the outstanding amounts are cleared.

The move is aimed at achieving recovery targets by the end of June and making the collection of dues more effective. However, LESCO has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
