Govt Will Share Good News on Fuel Prices Soon: Petroleum Minister

Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik has indicated that “good news” regarding a reduction in petroleum product prices is expected soon.

Speaking to Geo News, he said the public has already faced significant hardship due to the Iran–US conflict, which pushed fuel prices higher and impacted household budgets.

He noted that global crude oil prices have now dropped to a three-month low in international markets.

The minister said there is a commitment, along with the Prime Minister’s directive, to reduce prices “as much as possible.”

Ali Pervaiz Malik added that expectations of Iranian crude oil becoming available in global markets have also contributed to the decline in oil prices worldwide.

He further stated that the international community is acknowledging the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in contributing to regional stability.
