Motorway E-Challan Payments Now Available Through Raast QR

Supporting the State Bank of Pakistan and Prime Minister’s Cashless Pakistan vision for a digitally empowered economy, motorists traveling on selected motorways can now pay their traffic e-challans through Raast QR. Following the launch of a new QR-based payment system developed in collaboration with the National Highway Authority (NHA), National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), and Zindigi – JS Bank.

The digital payment facility has been introduced on a pilot basis on the M1 Motorway (Islamabad–Peshawar), M2 Motorway (Islamabad–Lahore), and the Islamabad–Murree Expressway.

Under the new system, speeding fines issued on designated motorway routes can be paid instantly through Raast QR using any banking app, eliminating the need for cash and making the payment process faster and more convenient for motorists.

The initiative aims to make challan payments faster, more convenient, and transparent by reducing reliance on manual cash collection and enabling digital transactions directly through mobile devices.

Authorities will assess the system’s performance during the pilot phase before considering expansion to additional motorway and highway routes across the country.

Motorists using the designated corridors are encouraged to utilize the QR payment option for a seamless and cashless challan payment experience.
