According to the official awareness material, the Punjab government has planned 650 Day Care Centers across the province, out of which 350 are already operational. The initiative is being implemented through the Punjab Day Care Fund, which aims to help women participate more actively in the workforce while ensuring the care, safety, and early development of children.

For many working mothers, childcare remains one of the biggest challenges in continuing a professional career. A proper Day Care Center at the workplace can reduce stress for parents and provide children with a supervised environment. Organizations interested in setting up or registering a Day Care Center can apply online through the e-WDD Portal.
