iPhone Ultra’s Eye Watering Price Revealed in New Leak

Apple’s rumoured foldable iPhone could have an average selling price of $2,500, according to a new industry estimate.

Higher-storage versions of the device could cost as much as $3,000, placing the foldable model at the top of Apple’s smartphone lineup by price.

The $2,500 figure represents the expected average selling price across the foldable iPhone lineup rather than the confirmed starting price of its base model.

Customers choosing configurations with additional storage could pay closer to $3,000.

The device is widely referred to as the iPhone Ultra in reports, although Apple has not officially confirmed the name.

Rumored Specifications

The foldable iPhone is expected to use a book-style design that opens into a wider, tablet-like screen.

Reports suggest that it will feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner OLED screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Apple is reportedly working on a nearly crease-free inner display and a durable liquid-metal hinge.

The device could measure around 4.5mm when unfolded and between 9mm and 9.5mm when closed.

Its frame may combine titanium and aluminium to improve durability while limiting weight.

The foldable iPhone is expected to use Apple’s A20 chip, produced using a 2nm manufacturing process, alongside 12GB of RAM.

It may also use Apple’s C2 modem with support for 5G mmWave.

Apple could remove Face ID because the thin design may not leave enough space for the required sensors. Reports instead point to Touch ID integrated into the power button.

The rear camera system is expected to include two 48MP cameras: a main camera and an ultrawide camera. A telephoto camera is not expected because of space limitations.

The phone could include front-facing cameras on both screens. One report claims that the inner display may use a 24MP under-display camera.

The battery capacity is expected to fall between 5,400mAh and 5,800mAh, which would make it the largest battery fitted to an iPhone.

The software may support side-by-side apps and other iPad-style multitasking features when the phone is unfolded.

The device is also expected to use eSIM instead of a physical SIM card slot.

Pricing Remains Unconfirmed

Apple has not announced the foldable iPhone or revealed its official storage configurations and prices.

The $2,500 average and $3,000 upper estimate, therefore, remain projections rather than confirmed retail prices.
