Police have registered a case against a senior official of the Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education after a female student accused him of attempting to sexually assault her.
According to details, Deputy Controller of Examinations Mian Naeem allegedly lured the student by promising to increase her exam marks and provide her with exam “guess papers.”
Police said the suspect first called the student to a degree college located on Sargodha Road. He allegedly used the promise of providing guess papers to convince her to meet him. Later, he reportedly persuaded the student to go toward Jaranwala Road, where he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her.
The student resisted the alleged assault and later informed authorities about the incident. Police said they immediately took action after receiving the complaint.
Officials said a formal case has been registered against Mian Naeem at Millat Town Police Station in Faisalabad on the complaint of the affected student. Police have also started conducting raids to arrest the suspect.
Meanwhile, senior officials of the Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education have taken strict notice of the incident. The board has suspended Mian Naeem from his position as deputy controller of examinations and ordered a departmental inquiry.
Board officials said no officer involved in blackmailing female students or committing such serious crimes would be given any leniency.
