Internet May Slow Down in Pakistan

Nayatel on Thursday warned customers that they may experience slow internet browsing due to a degradation in an international submarine cable segment.

In a post on X, the internet service provider said the issue is affecting international connectivity and may result in slower browsing speeds for users. Restoration work is currently underway.

Nayatel said its technical teams are actively coordinating with the upstream provider to restore normal services as quickly as possible.

The company did not specify which submarine cable is affected or provide an estimated timeline for full restoration.

Users experiencing slower-than-usual internet speeds are advised to wait while the issue is being resolved, as the disruption originates from the international network infrastructure rather than Nayatel’s local network.
