Jazz, Pakistan’s leading connectivity provider from JazzWorld, is closely monitoring an ongoing disruption affecting internet connectivity following a fault in the SEA-ME-WE 5 (SMW5) international submarine cable system.
As confirmed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the fault has impacted international internet traffic across Pakistan, which may result in intermittent degradation of internet service quality for some users.
Jazz’s technical teams are working closely with upstream international connectivity partners to reroute traffic through alternate international links wherever possible, helping to minimize the impact on customers while restoration efforts are underway.
Jazz remains in close coordination with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Transworld Associates, and other relevant stakeholders and will continue to monitor developments until normal service is fully restored.
Customers will be kept informed through Jazz and JazzWorld’s official communication channels as further updates become available.
