The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has demolished illegal developments in three unauthorized housing schemes during a crackdown against unlawful real estate projects in the city.
Acting on the directions of Rawalpindi Commissioner Abdul Aamer Khattak, the RDA Enforcement Squad carried out the operation against Green Enclave, Century Town/Signature City, and Taqwa Town located along GT Road in Rawat.
During the operation, authorities demolished various unauthorized structures and development works, including roads, electricity poles, medians, plot demarcations, and site offices.
According to an RDA official, the action was taken under relevant laws to curb illegal housing activities and protect the interests of the public.
The authority also warned sponsors and developers of illegal housing schemes to immediately stop all unauthorized development, marketing, advertising, booking, and the sale of plots. It said failure to comply would result in strict legal action without further notice.
Reaffirming its commitment to planned urban development, the RDA urged the public, including overseas Pakistanis, investors, and property dealers, to verify the approval status of any housing scheme before making investments or property transactions.
The authority advised citizens to visit the official RDA website for information on approved housing schemes.
