Sindh to Revolutionize Exams with E-Marking and Digitalization

The Sindh government has decided to overhaul the provincial examination system by implementing e-marking and modern digital technology across all educational boards.

The decision was discussed during a high-level meeting between the Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, and representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The project focuses on moving away from traditional manual marking toward a more transparent and efficient e-marking system.

To support this transition, IT experts will provide specialized training to board staff, and the government will procure advanced equipment including high-speed scanners, cutting machines, and secure servers.

Minister Rahoo stated that the modernization plan aims to bring Sindh’s examination system in line with international standards. He confirmed that the proposal for the project’s final approval would be presented before the Sindh Cabinet soon.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board, Faqir Muhammad Lakho, has been appointed as the focal person to lead the project’s implementation.

This initiative is expected to reduce errors in result preparation and ensure the timely announcement of examination outcomes by automating the marking and data entry processes.
