Over 86,000 Students Get A-1 and A Grades in Karachi Matric Exams

More than 35,500 students secured the coveted A-1 grade as the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part II Annual Examinations 2026 for the Science Group.

According to the results, 141,688 candidates passed all papers, while 29,655 failed, taking the overall pass percentage to 80.87 percent.

A total of 35,529 students obtained the A-1 grade, while 51,022 secured A grade, 34,910 earned B grade, 17,153 received C grade, 3,060 obtained D grade, and 14 students passed with E grade.

Mohammad Azlan Syed of Falcon House Grammar School, North Karachi, secured first position with 94.55 percent marks. Rija Kamran of Apex School, Model Colony, stood second with 94 percent, while Ayesha Adnan of Usman Public School Campus 1, North Karachi, claimed third position with 93.91 percent.

During a ceremony held at the BSEK conference hall, the first position holder was awarded Rs. 200,000 in cash, while the second and third position holders received Rs. 150,000 and Rs. 100,000, respectively. Merit certificates were also presented to top performing students from the Science Group, General Group, and among special students.

BSEK Controller of Examinations Ahmed Khan Chhutto said that 176,152 candidates registered for the Science Group examinations this year, while 175,200 appeared in the exams, including 91,481 male and 84,671 female students.
