Saudi Arabia has launched a new Package Visa pilot under its broader Vision 2030 tourism push, introducing a digital travel option that lets visitors book flights, hotels, health insurance and an e-tourist visa in a single transaction through registered travel agents.
The pilot currently covers seven countries, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia and Mexico. Officials said the programme aims to simplify travel procedures while keeping tighter control over tourist bookings.
Under the new rules, the minimum package cost for the first two days is set at 4,000 Saudi riyals per adult, with an additional 1,000 riyals per day for extra stay. The visa fee, along with travel health insurance, will cost 402.21 riyals.
Authorities have also made accommodation mandatory at a Ministry-approved four-star hotel or above, along with flight booking. Travellers must complete and settle the booking at least 48 hours before departure.
The new system differs from Saudi Arabia’s regular tourist eVisa and business visit visa. Officials said the tourist visa allows leisure travel, family visits and Umrah, while the business visa permits meetings and discussions but does not allow direct employment.
Saudi Arabia has also updated its instant corporate visa rules through the Qiwa platform. New companies can request up to five work visas, while companies older than two years may request up to 50 visas if they meet the required Saudization status.
The kingdom has also extended the deadline until December 31, 2026 for foreign workers to correct expired visa issues.
