AIOU to Launch Chinese Language and Culture Center

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is set to launch a new Chinese Language and Culture Center to help students learn Chinese and improve academic links with China.

The center will be established under a new cooperation agreement between AIOU and Teng Chinese International. Through this partnership, both sides will work on language learning, academic programs, skills training, and exchange opportunities for teachers and students.

AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr. Nasir Mahmood said the university wants to equip young people with practical skills and modern learning opportunities. He said learning Chinese will help students understand China’s language, culture, and academic environment in a better way.

The university is already running language centers for Turkish, Japanese, and Russian. The new Chinese center will further expand AIOU’s international language programs.

Officials said the initiative will also support stronger educational cooperation between Pakistan and China and create more learning opportunities for students in the coming years.
