Fake Medicine Factory Sealed in Islamabad

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have uncovered an illegal medicine manufacturing unit operating inside a residential house in Ghori Town, Islamabad.

The factory was allegedly producing medicines for both humans and animals without the required registration or manufacturing license.

During the joint raid, officials recovered a large quantity of finished medicines, raw materials, and packaging supplies for human and veterinary products. Poultry medicines worth millions of rupees were also seized.

According to DRAP officials, some of the recovered medicines were valued at up to Rs. 40,000 per unit.

Two employees were arrested during the operation, while a case was registered against them. Authorities also confiscated the entire stock and sealed the factory.

Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.
