Notorious Land Mafia Leader Farrukh Khokhar Gets Life Sentence in High-Profile Murder Case

A Rawalpindi court has sentenced three men, including Farrukh Khokhar, the son of former MPA Taji Khokhar, to life imprisonment in the 2022 murder case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Majid Satti.

Additional Sessions Judge Afshan Ejaz Sufi handed down the verdict, awarding life imprisonment to the convicted men. The court also directed each convict to pay Rs. 1 million in compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased.

Following the verdict, Farrukh Khokhar was taken into custody from the courtroom. Meanwhile, another accused, Waseem, was acquitted after the court found insufficient evidence against him.

Majid Satti was shot dead on August 8, 2022, near Sixth Road in Rawalpindi. The killing drew significant attention due to Satti’s political affiliation with PTI and the alleged involvement of Farrukh Khokhar, who belongs to a prominent political family.

Police had registered the case at Sadiqabad Police Station, and the trial continued for nearly four years before the court announced its judgment.

With the verdict, the court concluded one of Rawalpindi’s high-profile political murder cases, holding three of the accused guilty while acquitting one co-accused.
