Govt Officially Notifies Big Increase in Employee Salaries

The federal government has officially notified a 7 percent increase in salaries for civil servants from BPS-1 to BPS-22, effective July 1, 2026.

This announcement officially implements the salary package announced in the federal budget with effect from July 1, 2026.

Also under the notification, the 15 percent Adhoc Relief Allowance granted in 2022 and the 10 percent Adhoc Relief Allowance announced in 2025 have been merged into the basic pay of all federal government employees, revising the basic pay structure across all grades.

The Ministry of Finance has issued the necessary notifications to implement the revised pay scales effective from July 1, 2026.
