A 53-year-old factory worker lost his life after a lift crashed due to a broken cable at a brush and vaporizers manufacturing unit near Chungi No. 11 in Multan on Tuesday.
Rescue 1122 identified the victim as Mustafa, who sustained critical injuries when the lift suddenly plummeted.
Rescue teams administered first aid and performed CPR at the scene before rushing him to Nishtar Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Preliminary investigations by rescue officials suggest the accident occurred after a lift cable snapped.
