Lahore Traffic Police have suspended the driving licenses of 110 motorists involved in road accidents as part of a campaign against negligent driving.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said authorities will suspend the license of any driver involved in a fatal or serious non-fatal accident. He warned that anyone caught driving with a suspended license will face legal action.
Under the new policy, authorities can suspend licenses for six months to three years, depending on the severity of the offense. Drivers involved in fatal accidents must obtain a court order before they can restore their licenses.
The CTO said the crackdown targets motorists whose negligence, careless behavior, or reckless driving causes accidents, adding that the initiative aims to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents across Lahore.
